With a Cold War backdrop that had been gradually thawing for years, the characters in Munich Spring seek to understand and adjust to things that are a
changin'. Time is spent concentrating on the past as a means of moving forward... or preventing others from doing so. It all depends on your point of view.
Set in Bavaria, the novel recounts the dynamic interactions between characters as they attempt to deal with the political, social, and economic shifts sweeping Europe. The adventure culminates in the fall of the Berlin Wall and far-reaching changes impacting the continent.

The Cold War was a period of geopolitical hostility between the Soviet Union and the United States – to include their respective allies, often referred to as the Eastern and Western Blocs.
